About the Golf Club Consultancy Company.

At the Golf Club Consultancy Company our aim is simple. We will try to help your Golf Club realise turn it's business round and be more likely to reach it's potential and be a more profitable and better running business.

We appreciate that the people, who run most of the golf clubs in the UK, are specialists or  professionals in fields other than golf club management.

We know that the average Club Secretary/Manager of today is far too busy with the colossal amount of administration work now required. It is difficult devote the time involved in finding new solutions to falling income, failing memberships and ever increasing running costs.

The Club Secretary of today is in charge of an enormous amount of Health and Safety issues, needs to be an expert on payroll and accounts packages, must be an excellent man-manager and much, much more.

The Golf Club Consultancy Company  can help you. Most Golf Club committee personnel try very hard to do the best they can for their club, but ultimately are doing things without the proper long term direction and more with hope than with confidence. This is not a criticism this is a fact.

At the Golf Club Consultancy Company we have the PROVEN knowledge to make a difference to your golf club. We have advisors on board who can help in all the necessary fields to help your club.

We have a consultant who can advise on all business related questions, on bar and catering matters, in order to help you run a better service inside your golf club. We also have a consultant who can advise on long term Golf Course improvements, drainage and design.

By using our services you will be giving your members and visitors a better service, therefore they will spend more money, and even more importantly they will come back more often.
Perception of Value is key.

Increase Perception of Value and everyone benefits

Our Head consultant is Kenny Hutton. He is the Golf Manager/PGA Professional at Downfield Golf Club in Dundee. He also has many years in the hotel trade behind him. This has allowed him to look at things in golf clubs from a slightly different perspective. Golf clubs are in the service industry, and many have forgotten this very important fact through pressures from just trying to survive Golf Clubs need to realise the importance of customer service at all levels at all times.

Downfield is one of the gems in Scottish golf but is also very much a members golf club. In the 9 years since he has taken over as Golf Manager in charge of visitors budgeting, marketing and advertising, the clubs visitor revenue has increased by over 20%. This at a time when no fewer than 8 new courses have opened within a 10-mile radius, and average golf club income has been on the decline. Also the resorts of St. Andrews Bay and Kingsbarns, which are now major forces in Scottish golf, and who are less than 20 miles away, have been aiming more at the home golfing market due to currency fluctuations, which was not initially their intention.

The Downfield Golf Club success has come through implementing progressive ideas, watching what is spent, and where it is spent. A new way of looking at things, in and around the golf club has been set in place, and the club is making more money from visitors without the need to cut into members times.

We have all been reading about falling waiting lists and lack of new blood in golf. We can help turn this trend around through positive moves in Golf Clubs. Are you fed up of trying to come up with solutions to your problems but ultimately not succeeding?
